Dispensation of dynamite (1883, March 16) New York Times.

It is evident that a general “demonstration in force” by the promoters of revolution by dynamite has been ordered in Europe. At this moment, there is not a European State, if we except Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, that is not alarmed and agitated by the doings of the apostles of revolution by dynamite. Indeed, as a rule, it may be said that inherent weakness of the dynamite dispensation is the proclivity to confession that characterizes its disciples and leaders. But while this craze continues European society may well be perturbed. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2018 APA, all rights reserved)
